The idea for today's drink comes from Noma Social out of New York State. Seems like most bars and restaurants are changing up their cocktail menus now that summer is practically here. This one is light, easy-sipping and balanced, with a nice hit of herbal refreshment from the mint. Sip slowly while manning the grill.
2 ounces Hendrick's Gin
3 blackberries, plus 1 for garnish
1/2 ounce simple syrup
Mint for garnish
In a cocktail shaker, gently muddle three blackberries. Add gin and simple syrup to shaker, then fill halfway with ice and shake for about 20 seconds. Strain into a glass filled with ice and top with club soda. Garnish with a blackberry and a sprig of mint. (Serves 1)
