My friend had the Quinoa Porridge with oats, quinoa, brown sugar, banana, chopped walnuts and coconut milk. I had a bite and thought it was creamy, lightly sweet and with a good, thick consistency. My friend enjoyed it but decided that next time she will request the brown sugar on the side to adjust the sweetness level for her palate. Other breakfast items include Forthright Waffle Sandwich, Eggs Benedict, Seasonal Quiche and several à la carte items like eggs, bacon, croissants, gluten-free zucchini bread and more. Next time I am in the area during lunch I would like to try Forthright's Vegetable Market Plate with roasted veggies, quinoa and roasted poblano aioli. Other lunch options include sandwiches, salads, and soup of the day.
Forthright also serves cocktails in the evening with a happy hour 5:00-7:00 p.m. ($1 off beer, $2 off wine, $8 cocktails). Their drink menu has a limited variety of bar food, including a hamburger (Grass-fed beef, smoked tomato relish, aged cheddar, pickles, sweet caramelized onions, challah bun) that sounds filling and delicious. They also serve weekend brunch Saturday 8:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m., Sunday 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. (their website has not been updated to reflect these new hours). Weekday hours are 7:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. Forthright is a great addition to the downtown scene and I look forward to a return visit.
